Hopewell PORCHFEST
What is Hopewell PORCHFEST?
PORCHFEST is a free, family-friendly, community-wide celebration of music and art taking place across an afternoon throughout historic Hopewell Borough. Performances will occur in one-hour time slots at people’s homes throughout the borough.

Where is it?
Hopewell PORCHFEST will take place in the central parts of Hopewell Borough and provide walkable entertainment around the heart of the borough.

When is it?
The 3rd annual Hopewell PORCHFEST will take place SATURDAY, September 13, 2025, from 12 to 5 pm.

How does it work?
Live performances will take place at hosts’ homes throughout historic Hopewell borough. Performances will take place in one-hour time slots throughout the day. Hosts can host as few as one, or as many as five performers throughout the day. Attendees can wander throughout the day and experience performances across the borough. A full map of scheduled performances and artist locations will be available a week or two before the event.

Can I volunteer my porch?
Of course! Any resident of Hopewell borough can volunteer as a host. You can offer your front porch, stoop, lawn, driveway—whatever outside area you have. We’ll pair your space up with suitable performers and artists. Have a tiny front stoop that can accommodate a solo musician? Great! Have a large front lawn that can host a large band? Fantastic! You can host one, two, or as many as five acts throughout the afternoon, whatever you prefer. Volunteer to host at the Host signup link above. Hosts and performers will be matched two weeks before the event.

Who makes decisions about hosts and performers, and how?
The Hopewell PORCHFEST is organized by the Hopewell PORCHFEST committee, which consists entirely of volunteers who are residents eager to bring PORCHFEST to Hopewell. The committee hopes to curate a diverse slate of hosts, performers, and artists, and to match and place them based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to venue size, necessary performer space, volume of performances, proximity to other performers, walkability, etc. We will try to honor all requests, and to provide opportunities for all interested hosts, performers, and artists to participate in this year’s Porchfest. Please be mindful that our ability to accommodate hosts, performers, and artists is limited by the number and location of hosts!

The Hopewell PORCHFEST committee is entirely voluntary and also consists of residents Jarret Crawford, Christine Crawford, Vince Janoski, Jessica Snyder Mueller, and Sue Seferian. Get in touch at hopewellporchfest@gmail.com.

How do I get involved even if I’m not a host or performer?
We’d love to have your help! We’ll need extra folks on hand to help coordinate performances and work with performers and porches to make sure everything goes smoothly. Get in touch by sending us an email at hopewellporchfest@gmail.com.
